According to statistics, since 2013, China has added an average of more than 10 million new market entities every year, and the total number of registered market entities has increased from nearly 55 million at the end of 2012 to 154 million at the end of 2021, an increase of 1.8 times. Among them, the number of enterprises increased from more than 13 million to 51 million, and the number of individual industrial and commercial enterprises increased from more than 40 million to 103 million.
In 2021, 28,872,541 new market entities were added, a year-on-year increase of 15.42%, of which 9,013,186 new enterprises were added, a year-on-year increase of 12.5%; There were 19,859,355 new individual industrial and commercial establishments, a year-on-year increase of 17.2%. There were 79,103 new market entities per day, including 24,849 new enterprises and 54,246 new individual industrial and commercial enterprises per day. There are about 111 market entities per 1,000 people, and 20.44 new market entities per 1,000 people, which is basically the same as last year's market entities per 1,000 people.
From the perspective of the types of new market entities, 19,859,355 new individual industrial and commercial enterprises were added, a year-on-year increase of 10.02%, reaching 103 million, accounting for two-thirds of the market entities; 7,972,217 new limited liability companies were added, a year-on-year increase of 10.27%; Foreign-invested enterprises added 32,058, a year-on-year increase of 27.80%.
In terms of the registration place of new market entities, Guangdong Province ranked first with 2,863,309 new market entities in 2021, and Jiangsu Province and Shandong Province ranked second and third in the number of new market entities respectively. Jiangxi Province, Hainan Province and Fujian Province ranked the top three with year-on-year increases of 102.81%, 52.45% and 50.60% respectively.
